Tilly Green is one of the main characters from the Disney Channel animated series Big City Greens. She is Cricket Green's older, kind-hearted sister who has a seemingly very quiet demeanor but a very creative imagination. She is always kind to everyone around her and always willing to help those in need, though she can be a bit controlling at times.
Appearances in Christmas specials[]
Big City Greens[]
Tilly has a major role in "Green Christmas" along with Cricket. Unlike her brother, Tilly actually understands the true meaning of Christmas, which is about being kind to others. So when she does a tally of their good and bad deeds, she discovers Cricket has done so many bad ones that he might be on Santa Claus' naughty list, but he still has time to redeem himself. Throughout the episode, Tilly lets Cricket know she believes "there's good in him". After doing good deeds all over town, Cricket doesn't think that's enough and tries to consult the Santa actor at Hudkins, but thanks to his selfishness, he is pronounced naughty. Tilly tries to convince him not to give up, but he doesn't believe her and thinks "nothing he does matters", meaning if Santa thinks he's naughty, then that's just what he'll be.
Shocked at seeing her brother resort to naughty pranks for the townsfolk, Tilly tries to stop him from stealing the Big City Christmas star and mooning everyone, but this results in an argument which causes the tree to fall and destroy the ice skating rink. Tilly is then caught emerging from the tree, with the press believing she's responsible for it, pronouncing herself naughty as well. Retreating to a nearby alley, Tilly is deeply saddened, showing she's been nice every year, not for presents, but for being kind to others. She calls out Cricket in song and leaves him alone, believing all her good deeds were for nothing. When Cricket realizes Tilly was right, he meets the real Santa and selflessly wishes she were back on the nice list, and they are driven home by Bill. On Christmas morning, Tilly discovers Cricket's wish came true and is happy for him. She also discovers a gift with Cricket's name on it, meaning he's on the nice list as well because of his selfless act, and happily declares she wasn't the only one who saw the good in him before singing with her family.
Tilly appeared again in the series' second Christmas episode, "Virtually Christmas", in which she and the rest of the Greens join in the virtual reality game Outpost Infinity after Cricket ends up snowed in at his best friend Remy Remington's mansion.
Tilly will appear again in the series' third Christmas episode, "Dream Tree", this time with her family celebrating Christmas at their old farmhouse in Smallton.
Other Christmas productions[]
Around the same time "Green Christmas" aired, Tilly also made a few appearances in the special Disney Channel: Holidays Unwrapped.
Tilly also appeared in a Christmas-themed Broken Karaoke short, released just a few days after "Green Christmas" aired. This short features her singing "Deck the Halls" alongside Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb, Baymax from Big Hero 6, Launchpad McQuack from DuckTales, and Anne Boonchuy from Amphibia.
Tilly had the starring role in the Random Rings short "Tilly Tests Trevor", in which she calls Trevor Tordjman to have him audition as Santa for a Christmas movie she is apparently making.
Tilly and her family provide hosting duties for the compilation special Shortsmas with Big City Greens.
