Tweety Bird (also called Tweety Pie) is a character created by Bob Clampett for the Looney Tunes series of cartoon shorts. Introduced in the 1942 cartoon A Tale of Two Kitties, he is a yellow canary who is always outwitting his nemesis, Sylvester the cat.
Appearances in Christmas specials
Along with Sylvester, Tweety has notably appeared in more Christmas specials than any other Looney Tunes character.
Looney Tunes
- Gift Wrapped
- Bugs Bunny's Looney Christmas Tales - Tweety appears in the "Bugs Bunny's Christmas Carol" segment, portraying the role of Tiny Tim. Unusually for a cartoon in which both he and Sylvester appear, Tweety does not interact with or even share the screen with the cat once in the special.
- Bah, Humduck! A Looney Tunes Christmas - In the second Looney Tunes parody of A Christmas Carol, Tweety, along with Granny, portrays the role of The Ghost of Christmas Past.
- "A Christmas Carol" - Tweety has a very brief cameo in The Looney Tunes Show's Christmas episode; he takes part in singing "Christmas Rules" at the end.
