2011's Best and Worst Christmas Specials and Movies

Once again, the videos and DVD are all snug in their vaults, and my Santa hat is in storage for a long eleven-month nap, and we know what that means. As we turn the page to 2012, and pray that the Mayans were wrong on the end of the world as we know it, let's look at the best and worst that we got under the obscenely expensive JehriTron 12000 3-D HDTV this year.

  • 1 Best Sequel To a Popular Christmas Special
  • 2 Worst Excuse for a Christmas Special
  • 3 Best Family Special
  • 4 Worst. Christmas. Movie. (Not of all-time)

We also have a kind heart to Disney's 1984 animated tribute Mickey's Christmas Carol, Bill Murray's 1989 Scrooged and now Jim Carrey's turn as many characters in the 2009 CGI animated version.

A Christmas Story. Jean Shepard was a great humori…
