Vanessa Williams and Friends: Christmas in New York is a 1996 Christmas special that debuted on ABC on December 1, 1996.


This musical Christmas special, held in New York's Shubert Theatre, is hosted by singer and actress Vanessa Williams. The program features performances of holiday songs with special guests Babyface, the Boys Choir of Harlem, Phil Collins, Savion Glover, Rosie OÕDonnell, Shania Twain, and Luther Vandross. The program begins with the song, "Do You Hear What I Hear?" performed by Williams, Twain, Vandross, and the Boys Choir of Harlem. Other musical highlights include: "Angels We Have Heard on High," sung by Williams and Twain with the accompaniment of Glover's tap dancing; "White Christmas," sung by Rosie OÕDonnell and Elmo from Sesame Street; Williams and Babyface in a duet of "Baby, It's Cold Outside"; "With a Christmas Heart" by Vandross; Williams performing her song, "Star Bright"; and "The Same Moon" by Collins.
