Vincent Price (May 27, 1911 – October 25, 1995) was an American actor known as the King of Horror. He appeared in many horror films such as House of Wax, The Fly, House on Haunted Hill, House of Usher, The Pit and the Pendulum, The Raven, The Masque of the Red Death, and The Abominable Dr. Phibes. He was also known for collaborating with Michael Jackson on the song "Thriller", as well as for voicing Ratigan in the Disney film The Great Mouse Detective and Vincent Van Ghoul on The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo.
Price was offered to voice Santa Claus in The Nightmare Before Christmas, but declined the offer due to his poor health at the time; he passed away just four days before the movie opened.
