William Shatner (born March 22, 1931) is a Canadian-American actor and singer best known for playing Captain James T. Kirk in the Star Trek franchise from The Original Series to the feature film Star Trek: Generations, the title character in the police drama series T.J. Hooker (including its Christmas episode), Denny Crane in The Practice and its spin-off Boston Legal, various guest appearance in shows such as The Twilight Zone, Route 66, The Outer Limits, Ironside, Atomic Betty, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and appearances in movies such as Airplane II: The Sequel, Miss Congeniality, Osmosis Jones, Over the Hedge, and Batman vs. Two-Face.
